Seeking new interns for 2027!
The Finnish Cultural Institute in New York is seeking new interns for 2027!
We are offering two internship positions:
one 12 month position funded by The Swedish Cultural Foundation in Finland (Kulturfonden)
one shorter-term position funded by EDUFI, The Finnish National Agency for Education
We welcome applications from recent graduates or students in the final stages of their studies in Visual Arts, Cultural Production, or communications. However, other fields are welcome to apply if their interests and work experience fit the position. FCINY values applicants with diverse backgrounds and practices.

→ Application period: September 15–30, 2026
→ Internship duration: January 1–December 31, 2027 (12 months of funded internship, including one month of paid vacation, arranged separately).

This internship is for applicants whose native language is Swedish or Swedish is the language of their studies.
Apply through EDUFI:
→ Application period: September 17–October 1, 2026, (closes at 16:15 Finnish time)
→ Internship duration: February 2–June 30, 2026, or as agreed.

The second application period, for the fall term, opens in spring 2027 for an internship running from September 2027 to February 2028.
