Open Call for Fall Residency at Triangle Arts in Brooklyn

Pinch Fold Cut Line, 2017, by Triangle residents Henna-Riikka Halonen and Cheryl Wing-Zi Wong

Triangle Arts Association opens a call for applications for a studio residency for fall 2020. The three-month residency, funded by the Finnish Cultural Foundation and done in partnership with the FCINY, comes with a studio apartment in Williamsburg.

The call is open to all Finnish artists or artists with strong connections to Finland, who are based in the US and thus not affected by travel restrictions. While Triangle has a long history of supporting visual arts, artists working in any media or discipline are welcome to apply. The three-month residency period can be scheduled August/September/October or October/November/December.

Triangle's studios, located in Dumbo, Brooklyn, are private to each artist, so all artists will have the ability to social distance while working. Triangle is following guidelines for reopening and all safety measures required and recommended by the State of New York. Please check Triangle Arts website for more details.

Applications are due by July 5, 2020.  The selection will be done by a jury formed by Triangle and the Finnish Cultural Institute in New York.
